Job Description

The North Denver Sales Rep will focus on growing and servicing the Good River Beer account base in an assigned territory in the North Denver Metro Area including Boulder, Longmont and along the 36 cooridor.  This position is critical to Good River Beer’s success and growth, as it is the first point of contact with our customers.  The Sales Rep will represent the Good River Beer brand by directly interacting with our partners to build long-term successful relationships by providing stellar customer service, quality assurance, and by spreading the spirit of Good River Beer.  The ideal candidate is based in the Denver metro area and ready to play an integral role in building Good River Beer.


Market Development


  • Achieve specified revenue targets by managing existing GRB accounts in the territory and cold calling on bars and restaurants to gain new placements
  • Achieve and maintain positive brand recognition for Good River Beer within targeted territory
  • Provide stellar customer service with all accounts, big or small.  Keep all accounts informed of new Good River Beer developments including events, beer releases, festivals, Non-profit partnerships, etc.
  • Build long-term relationships with the decision-maker and other  influential employees at each account
  • Set up account promos, staff trainings, hand sales, tap takeovers, beer dinners, and other promotional events
  • Ability to be flexible with schedule to spend time in the market during peak times such as happy hour, late night, and weekends


Market Knowledge

  • Develop an understanding of the brewing process, strategic partnerships, invoicing, distribution, and on site tastings
  • Understand Good River Beer pricing and competitor pricing and process
  • Know the product lineup of the top competitors in the territory
  • Build and develop market profile and target customer list
  • Thoroughly understand the Good River Beer brand, partnerships with nonprofit organizations, mission, and beers


Job Requirements

  • Passion for the craft brewing industry and desire to acquire a strong knowledge of the industry
  • Passion for the outdoors and desire to protect and conserve rivers
  • The ability to foster relationships with key contacts at each account
  • Represent Good River Beer at beer festivals and events
  • High self-motivation and initiative
  • Excited about being part of the craft beer industry with a positive outlook and willing to do what it takes to meet and exceed goals
  • Strong work ethic
  • Have the ability to work alone and/or in a team with strong organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and selling skills
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Commit to completing all administrative tasks such as daily email communication, Customer Relationship Management database updates, expense reports, monthly sales reports, manage your shared calendar, and call reporting
  • Previous industry experience desired but not required – sales experience preferred
  • Have your own transportation, valid Colorado driver’s license, and a clean driving record
